Goals and Purpose - - - Future Hope/Pure Water
The need for the remaining funds to complete the construction and start up of the Source if Hope Pure Water project must be fully justified. What we mean by justified is found in the answer to the question “ Will the local church/community have the ability to continue the operation, maintain and operate the system so they do not have to revert to contaminated water sources?” Even beyond that “Will the church community have the means and desire to replicate or expand this type of micro-enterprise?” The answer to those questions depend on how well we lead and teach, and not about additional financial infusions.
2 Years - evidence that the money is available for repairs, that repairs are happening and the account is well managed (accurate records, no fraud, reliable reporting, etc).
3 years - enough money is in reserve to replace the most expensive component (reverse osmosis unit) of the system.
5 years - enough money in reserve to replicate or create a “satellite” facility.
Our “2, 3, 5” guideline establishes a goal which is obtainable and a tool to evaluate the sustainability of the whole concept.
It would not be realistic to think that, in this location, the local community could provide the funds necessary for the initial investment. We have, from the inception of the project, have understood that we would provide the initial funding and technical expertise to facilitate the roll out of the first bottle of pure water.
This project is only the first door to be opened to provide life changing education necessary to eliminate water and sanitation poverty and transform lives forever. It will enable them to provide the funding and see results that will come from eliminating the disease of charity.
I trust that you will find our direct approach to sustainable change worthy of a significant contribution that we may complete the project and see the first 5 gallon bottle of Pure Water in the hands of a family for the first time.

The finish line is in sight!
The interior work is almost complete. The well is fully operational along with the primary filters. The single well now supplies water for the School, Church, and water purification facility.
